May 4 | 7 Models an Exhibition of Latin American Architecture

Join us Thursday, May 4th for the opening reception of 7 Models – An Exhibition of Latin American Architecture, at our space in Downtown Miami.

The show will consist of a set of models exhibited in 2015 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York for the show Latin America in Construction: 1955-1980, representing the work of notable architects across the continent:
In Caracas, Edificio Altolar by Jimmy Alcock
In Havana, the School of Ballet by Vittorio Garatti
In Santa Rosa, the Civic Center by Clorindo Testa
In Montevideo, the Urnario by Nelson Bayardo
In Bogotá, the Torres del Parque by Rogelio Salmona
In Mexico City, the Arboledas by Luis Barragán and the Colegio de México by Teodoro González de León with Abraham Zabludovksy

Commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art, the seven models were realized at the University of Miami School of Architecture between August 2014 and February 2015 under the direction of Jean-François Lejeune and Rafael Tapanes.
