Neushop Presents Osom Brand

This Friday September 2nd, NEUSHOP will be having Patricia Ermecheo from Osom to engage in conversation with Adnan Razack, professor at Miami International University of Art & Design. Ermecheo will be sharing her experience as the founder of the fashion startup focused on up-cycling unwanted textiles; how she went from understanding the amount of discarded garments that make their way to landfills, to developing her own technology to convert them into brand new pieces of clothing. Drop by after work and listen in on Ermecheo’s story while taking a look at her first collection of socks.

Osom is a sustainable brand that makes products entirely out of high-quality up-cycled thread from discarded garments, saving thousands of tons of textile waste from going to landfills. By making high quality up-cycled clothing Osom, is after closing the loop of wasting in the fashion industry, the second largest polluting industry on the planet.

NEUSHOP is proud to host this and other initiatives where design is a understood as a discipline that goes beyond the making of a finished product, and looks at resolving issues related to our quotidian lives comprehensively and responsibly.
